Appeal 2009 - Results

Alhamdulillah with your support the MSC raised a whopping £4,295.37 which was way over the original target. This amount was split between two projects: £3,167.37 was put towards purchasing 80 gift packs for the orphan girls of Gaza and the remaining £1,128.00 allowed the MSC to put the finishing touches to Masjid al-Hibah in the Gambia by funding the much needed carpet and PA system. May Allah shower His Mercy upon all those who supported the event

Appeal 2009

Help the MSC to raise £1,600.00. Insha'Allah we hope to raise enough funds to provide 40 orphan Gazan children with Eid Gift packs consisting of toys, sweets, food, stationery packs etc. Help us to return the smiles to those devestated by the war. Jan 2009: Gaza, Palestine Appeal

During the latest massacre on the people of Gaza the girls at the MSC felt the need to raise much needed funds. The MSC attendees Alhamdulillah in just 3 weeks a total of £3,555.00 had been raised. Muslim Hands have purchased 3 hospital beds on our behalf to assist the wounded. We feel this is a great contribution and one that will benefit not only the Palestinians but all those who donated generously.

Appeal 2008

The MSC's 5th Annual Ramadhan Appeal took place on Sat. 13th Sept. Alhamdulillah the performance by the young Muslimahs at the MSC, the live auction and the pre-Eid sale generated a total of £5,870 which is £750 over our target amount needed. ALLAHU AKBAR!

All funds have now been sent to Muslim Hands who will shortly begin work on the orphan home for the six Muslimahs who were orphaned through the tsunami in Banda Aceh. The extra funds will go towards purchasing furniture for the home. May Allah reward all those who made dua for the project, attended the event & donated in all ways possible. Insha'Allah we look forward to working with you all again next year.

In Ramadhan 2007...

the Club chose to undertake the ultimate challenge. This time round the target was £7,000 in order to build a rural Masjid in the Gambia. Once again crazy stunts were pulled and after just 2 months we handed over £7,337.31 to our friends at MH.

The Masjid which will accommodate over 200 worshippers is currently under construction.

In Ramadhan 2006...

the Club launched the 'Palestine Water Well and Olive Project' – our target amount: £2,500.00. A morning of talks, poetry, power point presentations and singing highlighted the plight of the Palestinians leaving not a dry eye in the house (I must point out that we took pity on our audience that year and sorted out the cats' choir!). The presentation, auction and sale brought in a total of £4,516.14! Subhana’Allah, great community spirit meant that we were able to plant 50 olive trees and construct a larger water well providing safe drinking water to an entire suburb in Rafah.

And we didn’t stop there… in Ramadhan 2005...

the girls took to the stage once again after the devastation caused by the South Asian earthquake in 2005. After just 2 weeks of script learning, dress rehearsals and numerous ‘telling offs’ ‘The Little Investigators- part 2’ was brought to life at the old Bingo Hall. The showing of the play, another year of dodgy singing and the craft sale left our audience with empty pockets –a staggering £3,416.82 was raised in just 3 hours! Allahu Akbar!

During Ramadhan 2004...

the Club took part in its very first ‘It’s My Project’ working in conjunction with Muslim Hands.
The IMP department allows the donor to choose a location, project type and target amount. MH then draws up a unique project which you see through from idea to construction.

The girls at the Club chose to raise £3,000.00 to establish a shelter for teenage girls in Iraq.

In Ramadhan 2004

we invited the community of Oxford to watch the memorable play ‘The Little Investigators’. The combination of excellent performing, terrible singing and sheer enthusiasm meant that we reached our target amount with ease within just 3 months.

"a staggering £3,416.82 was raised in just 3 hrs! Allahu Akbar!"

"in just 2 months we handed over £7,337.31 to our friends at MH"
