Muslim Girls Saturday Club
How it all began

PROJECTS...
As well as having fun, the girls at the Club are made to work! Alhamdulillah over the last 10 years we have looked at a number of different areas relating to Islam.

Projects run for a period of 6-10 weeks. Beautifully compiled project booklets make an excellent resource for future learning. Certificates, special mentions and great prizes are always up for grabs.

Current project: To study / memorize the Asma al-Husna. This has got to be the BIGGEST project to date…Alhamdulillah we are half way there!

"...the Club holds a ‘circle time’ session where we focus on a ‘hadith of the week’. "

As well as this, the Club holds a ‘circle time’ session where we focus on a ‘hadith of the week’. Social concerns / worries and topical matters are also discussed.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Allah makes the way to Jannah easy for him who treads the path in search of knowledge.''

TESTIMONIALS
Since 1997 a group of sisters have been providing a valuable service for the Muslim children in Oxford. Being a parent myself and one who has had the opportunity to access this service on several occasions, I can say with full confidence that the MSC is one of the most impressive and successful institutions for Muslim children in this city.
Children are one of the most valuable gifts in life. This is a fact that is emphasised in Islam through numerous examples of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu alaihi wassallam) where he demonstrated his love, affection and concern for children in ways that amazed those around him. Children are described as "a mercy from Allah", "a cooling to eyes" and "a way into paradise".
Anyone who takes on the responsibility of caring for the religious needs of Muslim children deserves the utmost recognition and support, for they are involved in the preservation and building of our future as Muslims in these lands. I pray that Allah blesses those dedicating their time and effort for this purpose and that He helps this institution to flourish for many more years to come - Shaikh Riyad Nadwi

My daughter Fatima has really enjoyed meeting friends her age, and more importantly finding role models in the Aunties who run the Club. The benefits of the crafts, activities, lessons and gentle God- conscious guidance she receives is clear in her personality. It has really made her and our easing into Oxford all the more smooth. I pray that Allah continues to put blessings into this sincere project - Talal Al-Azem

Fantastic and fun club that provides so much for the children to do and learn about in a very joyful way. The range of activities, trips and events makes it something that the children really look forward to. I am particularly impressed with the way the club communicates about all of it's "real world" fundraising efforts and their results - Waseem
